Several reviews mentioned that it is hard to read the time, but I went ahead and ordered it anyway. If it was just a clock, I would have returned it because you can't tell what time it is because of the hand color and the sections that control the movement. After all, that is normally why you buy a clock - so you know what time it is. It is so beautiful and I love the music, so I am keeping it. I can always look at my phone for the time if I am too lazy to get up to read it (:

Bought this for my mother-in-law. She used to have a clock that would sound a bird call on the hour, and it finally gave up the ghost after many years. My wife wanted to surprise her with a Rhythm Clock. Picked this one out, and her Mother loves it. My wife's Father won't admit it, but he kind of likes it as well.

I love this clock but I hate the sensor. In the evening, when we have time to relax and enjoy the tunes, the tunes won't play because of the light sensor. We have a bright flash light we point at it when the hour is almost here so the tune will play. If I had it to do over, I would not buy this clock because of the sensor.

I saw this clock with a wood frame at a shop for more than twice the price. When I saw the price on this one I ordered it even though I wasn't sure how well I liked the gold frame. It ended up looking great in person and works just like the one I saw in that shop. This was a real bargain for this clock and is a great conversation piece. My grandson will stop in the middle of talking just to watch it when it chimes. Love the dusk to dawn chiming feature so it doesn't wake you at night. Looking forward to changing chime to X-mas toons for the holidays.

Beware of descriptions and pictures on these. Mine is a brown "Small World" model, while the picture and description of the item ordered is something else.Anyway, nice clock. Some of them come in wood frames, others some sort of plastic resin. Mine is the latter, but the price was right.Updated to five stars, as I got very good service from the company. They replaced or repaired (honestly not sure which) the clock, after something went wrong with the face, just short of the warranty expiring. Only cost me shipping one way. :)

I saw one from my customer's home and I wanted to get one for my Mom's 76th birthday. It just arrived today and my Mom was very happy with it!!! I love it! 3 sets of different songs. I thought that I'm stock with one song, there were so many of them and you can choose which theme you want played. Cant wait for Christmas so I can play the Christmas theme!!!! I am also glad it's on sale in Amazon! I'll buy another one as my 6 year old son enjoys it too!

This is my second Rhythm Clock. I have one in the living room and this one in our all seasons room. I love the Rhythm clocks. They have excellent sound quality and they are beautiful. They play on the hour. There are three different music settings of which one is Christmas music and the other two are a variety of classical music. All the music is pleasing. Some songs are slow while others have a faster tempo. The clock is about 9 pounds so it does need to be hung securely. I would absolutely buy this clock again. Rhythm clocks are of the highest quality that can be enjoyed by generations to come.

The time worked fine. I set the clock up, hung it on the wall, pressed the Reset button. The music only worked when the Monitor button was pressed. I check to see of the on/off switch was switched to On, and it was. Very disappointed for such an expensive item. MY first statements were a mistake. Apparently, after I set the clock up, and dimmed the lights in the den to watch a movie, the sensor which turns the music off engaged. The clock is working as advertised. It is indeed a nice addition to my study. I would definitely recommend this to friends who were in Europe. I envision the clock as a modern renditions of many I have seen in palaces, castles, and town squares all over Europe. The wealthy and the towns were consumed with passion for complicated clocks with figures and music.

I have had my eye on this clock for quite sometime after seeing it in boutique store. I received it just a few days ago and love it! The ONLY thing I wish were different on this clock is that you would have the option to have it chime on the hour even in dim lighting (it is dependent on being in a very well lit area to chime). But other than that I'm very happy with this purchase.

It has a large music selection and I really like the fact that it doesn't play at night.The display is lovely and the crystals add a lot to the display. The flashing lights are not so bright as to be a distraction, but enough to notice.I have received so many compliments on this clock!! It's worth every penny.

We really like this clock! It sings a different tune every hour during daylight, is silent at night unless we leave a light on. The only drawback is that it is sometimes difficult to see what time it is because of the space between numbered sections that move around while chiming. Also would like to see more lights twinkling during movement. All that said, we are happy with purchase.

I have always wanted one of these Rhythm clocks and I'm glad I chose this one. I am enjoying it greatly and love the fact that it doesn't play at night, since my hubby hates chiming clock at night. It has a very pleasant sound when it plays it tunes and you can adjust the volume level. Worth the price.
