Beautiful watch, lighter than my old Seiko diver.

Terrific watch. Not just terrific based on the price. This watch is solid, looks great and is keeping near perfect time. I don't even mind that it does not have a screw-down crown. 100m of WR is just fine for me. I have the black & silver model and this green one with gold accents on the dial. The bezel action is very nice and the triangle lines up perfectly at the 12 o'clock marker. The bracelet would be considered cheap because the clasp is just pressed steel and the links are folded but does not feel cheap at all. It's a great fitting bracelet and not noisy at all. I highly recommend these Seiko watches. I like these more than the Seiko SKX. Unless you need more than 100m WR, these make fantastic sport watches.

Love the look, love the color, love the price. Snagged it for $200 and it's totally worth it for this stunning piece that I plan to use as an everyday beater watch.

I personally love a heavy watch and I’ve been wanting a dark green watch and this was literally the most perfect watch for me. The dial is a super beautiful color and the bracelet clasp is much better than the previous version of the Seiko 5

Accuracy and value

if your looking for a bang for the money watch this is a good start. nice built and since its automatic most likely will last forever. such a great first watch.

Beautiful watch for the money! The green face gives it uniqueness. I priced it at our local jewler and it was $60 more than the Prime Time Shop price. It's heavy and sturdy--well made.

it's a very good looking watch.

had it now for several months and the only issue is if I have a day of low arm movement it is subject to run down and stop. simple to reset time and shake it for a bit to get it wound up. over all it is worth buying. as far as accurate I don't need a super accurate time piece so if it loses or gains a few minutes a month not a problem.

one of my favorite watches, power reserve only last about 2 days but i reallllly love this watch.

I haven't had a nice stainless steel band watch in a long time, my most recent watch was a Timex Ironman. I remember my grandfather and dad both had Seikos when I was younger and they seemed solid and reliable. I love this one with the dark green face, self winding and see thru back. Not much of a watch connoisseur, but this seems really nice for the price range and hopefully lasts a long time. Even the jeweler was impressed when I took it in to adjust the band. Now I'm interested in others. Thanks.

I do wish this watch came with a sapphire crystal, screw down crown and a milled, instead of stamped, fold over clasp. Overall I think that the SPRD63 is a good value proposition @ $220.00 USD.

Very nice,good looking dial,windable, hackable,no screw down crown(I like that,makes it easier to wind,if it's been setting),and has the best lume of any I own,(including two with full lume dials)

Want a luxury watch without a luxury price tag? The new 5 is spectacular. I literally can't find a flaw with it. In fact, it is so nice I can't bear to wear it in any situation in which it could get damaged. I've become very protective. I have many watches, and this is by no means the most expensive, but it is absolutely the nicest. A note on Seiko: People who are watch snobs or don't know much about watches tend to assume that Seiko is similar to Casio or Timex in the hierarchy. This is absolutely untrue. Seiko has been around for over 100 years, and their movements go into many of the higher-end watches you can buy. If you watch some Youtube videos, you'll quickly discover that among horologists, Seiko is one of the most-respected watchmakers on the planet. A certain Swiss watch company got busted putting Seiko movements in their very expensive watches and labeling them "Swiss Movement".Just buy a 5. You won't regret it.

Very elegant, a daily use watch

I got my watch a couple of weeks ago and it's more stunishing in person than on pictures. I'm very happy with it and it looks gorgeous on the wrist.

This is an awesome watch, love that it is automatic, the movement is made by seiko. The color is much better in person than the pictures show. I was skeptical but the deep rich forest green color with rose gold highlights is classy but not pretentious. I wear this as my every day watch, but could easily wear this to a business meeting or dinner party, no question, it looks nice! Not gonna get you same clout as a Rolex or AP but seiko has some great qualities and makes very good watches. I would buy this over a TAG tbh.

Just got this watch after seeing it in person at a store. Worth the $230. Keeps better time then my hamilton khaki king. Only complaint would be if your going to wear a long sleeve, the watch is a little bulky.

I love these watches. Mine arrived with the chapter ring, dial, and bezel all in perfect alignment. I will be installing a double dome sapphire crystal and lumed ceramic bezel instert on mine, that in my opinion makes these one of the most beautiful watches available. I love the fact that these are considerably sized, yet wear small on the wrist. Who cares if it's only 100m water resistant? I'm not James Bond, and dont go diving from submarines. Besides, nobody that dives uses a watch anymore, they use dive computers. Moded or un-moded, i think these are very classy and reliable watches.

very nice watch for $200 dollar range. Might replace bracelet someday...but ok for now and certainly better than expected. Not a luxury watch...but excellent value for the money

This watch looks a lot nicer in person than in the photos. Quality from Seiko. Has a high quality Japanese automatic movement. I bought this for my son for graduation from High School. I got a similar watch for my graduation years ago and it is still running.

Stunning watch good quality

Movement looks nice, the bezel feels good. The hunter green color is absolutely beautiful and the illumination is very good as well. Overall very pleased with this watch for the price. The bracelet does leave some to be desired but that's expected at this price point.

Wow do I love this watch! It looks amazing. The green dial and white hour marks just pop. The gold accents, the adjustable outer ring, this is one nice watch. Seiko 5 can't be beat.

Love the new Seiko 5 series. It’s as accurate as my more expensive Seiko Dive watches. I love the jade green. I call it my Jade Dragon. However, I don’t understand why it doesn’t have a screw down crown.

I purchased this self-winder to have a watch on hand which didn't need a battery. I accepted the flaws of this kind of watch movement. While it doesn't have the consistent accuracy of a quartz movement, It is a accurate enough over a couple of days, which is enough for my needs in a backup time piece. On a daily bases, I stick with my quartz Seikos. One of which has been keeping accurate time for forty years. I see no reason not to expect similar durability from this watch. On an unimportant note, I like the hunter green face with the gold-trimmed. The day/date can be easily read.

Smitten at first glance, but did my due diligence before ordering. Very nice Watch. I paid a touch over $200 for this very nice Sport Watch, new. No, this is not a "Dive Watch" but they still sell the SKX line. This has kept great time, gaining three or four seconds a day. It would be great if this watch only gains a minute or so a month.Update - 5-25-2020After about a week this watch's accuracy improved to about 2 seconds fast or slow each day. The third week of ownership showed a 3 second gain for the entire week. Folks that is COSC accuracy. Go figureThe bezel and index markers are spot on alignment wise. Just the right amount of Gold Tint on the hands and dials, doesn't stand out at first glance. Setting up the day/date was super easy. Noticing the green bezel is a flat matte finish, very thoughtful for glare reduction. The metal bracelet is not great but not nearly as bad as reviewers let on. The micro-adjuster worked well.Dear Seiko Corp : Any watch you make over $200 should have a Sapphire Crystal. Surely this can be accomplished with your buying or manufacturing power.-Update 08-16-2020Still lovin' the watch. Still keeping great time within a few seconds a week. Still my most worn watch. It's what I wanted, a nice looking, good performing daily wear watch. Still recommended.

Really nice watch, great look. Smooth bezel with good alignment. Great lume, like the 42mm size, plus hack and wind feature. Only feel for slightly more money you can get the prospex line with 20atm and screw down crown with solid end links. Otherwise love it.

Looks great on the wrist, perfect size and detail.
