We have had this clock since about 1980 (QXM239ARH). The only thing that we have had to do is put new batteries in it when needed and it still runs perfectly. It is probably the most accurate clock in the house. It might lose 2 or 3 minutes in 6 months, which is awesome for a battery powered clockRandy Martin

I purchased this clock well over 6 years ago and paid well over $300.00 for it. The clock still works like it is brand new. All the mechanisms work like they did the first day I opened the box. It has kept perfect time. I will say that the music may drag a little bit when the batteries run low. But it will run for a very, very, long, long, long time before that happens and before you need to change the batteries. Changing the batteries will give you the exact sound the day you bought the clock. I've always been quite surprised how long the batteries will last. The music is beautiful. It always amazes my quests when the clock hits the hour and opens up in all different directions. It still amazes me quite frankly. I now own 10 of these musical clocks. Both Rhythm and Seiko brands. None of them have given me any trouble. I believe the oldest one is over 10 years old and it also keeps perfect time and still chimes and plays music on the hour like a brand new clock.

This was a replacement for a clock identical to this one except for the music. I bought the other one 15 years ago and have loved it since until it fell off the wall and broke. Everyone who came over and saw this clock work with the melodies on every hour commented on how different it was. I purchased this clock in 2009 for our anniversary. It has been running fine for over 7 years (so has our marriage for over 52 years!). It runs on batteries that I have only ever replaced 2 times. This is amazing when you consider all of the energy used to run the clock motion for that length of time.One year later I purchased a different "Melodies in Motion" clock that we mounted in the master bathroom. It has also been running with no problems.

I just received the clock last week. It is beautiful - I pray it functions for a very long time - it should for the amount of money it costs. The main reason I chose this clock is because it is in celebration of our 25th anniversary (silver). I do wish it played more songs - other clocks of the same price range have 18 or 30 songs. Also, I thought I could choose which song it played on the hour - I can't seem to do that. These are the reasons I didn't give it a 5 star review. Maybe I will change that as time goes on. . .

The first one arrived broken. They rushed a replacement out to me, and we love it. I'd say it looks even better than in the photo and the videos I saw online. We've only had it a couple of weeks, so I can't vouch for the longevity, but so far, we just love it. Also, the time has stayed pretty accurate. (There's no apparent way to adjust it, so I was worried about that.)

These clocks are fantastic. This is the fourth one we have bought. We bought one for ourselves and have gotten three others for our daughters. We have been more than satisfied with all of them. They are all a bit different but still have the inside that rotates on the hour and half hour and music with them. Our others have 12 songs but this one only has 6. The others can be changed from Christmas music to regular music.

Got this for Christmas. I wish it played more songs. I only know 2 of the melodies. It plays the same song upon opening and closing each hour. It will play a different song as the insides spin around. We are going to have to put a spotlight on it to be able to see the face really good. We keep our curtains closed and without a lot of light it's a little bit hard to see the gold hands. The wheel at the bottom spins all the time. When the face opens up there is some lights that go up each side of the wheel then comes out at the 11 and 2 so that it makes it look like a type of firework going up. The directions that come with it show the wrong place to turn the music volume on or off. We put it in the corner over the tv and it worked out perfectly.

A friend of mine has a clock similar to this one. I googled the clock manufacturer and found some Youtube videos and fell in love with this one. It does not disappoint. I was afraid that the music would be too loud in the middle of the night, but the volume is adjustable and I don't hear it when I'm in bed. My children love it and every hour they run over to the clock to watch it.

This is a wonderful & beautiful clock.I had bought this clock as an Anniversary gift for me & my husband.We went around & priced them & found that Prime Time Shop had the best prices for the"newer"clocks.So much mechanical movement,six different tunes.The clock will play it's music & motion on the hour for every hour or if you just want to show it off,there's a button you can push to make it play.It is also light sensitive so it wont play while you are sleeping UNLESS you have lights on.You can turn the volume up or down aswell.Great clock,love it:)

We enjoyed our first clock for many years and when the music box started malfunctioning, we decided to replace in kind! The music selections are different from our original clock but we are well pleased with the new selections. I personally believe the new clock music box actually sounds better than the old clock, but then this may just be my own opinion.

I own this Seiko Motion clock as well as 5 others. I have them all set to play a minute or two apart. So each hour, my home comes alive with music and motion from the clocks. They are an engineering work of art! My favorites are the ones where the face of the clock open like this one. The music in each clock is clear, sound of good quality. The workmanship is superb. Now, if Prime Time Shop would just put up links to videos of these clocks in motion then they would really have something.

We are so pleased with our purchase of this Melodies In Motion clock.The quality of the sound of the music is simply fantastic and everyone who sees it is enthralled with the motion of clock during the hourly display.The only negative I feel is that there are only six melodies with this model. I can't understand why more weren't included.The purchase process was easy and delivery was right on schedule. We and our guests have been enjoying our clock since mid-December.

This clock is a majestic addition to my home. Everyone is mesmerized at the top of the hour, when the clock face parts into 4 pieces and spins in time to the music, revealing wheels that move. Adults and children flock to the clock when they hear the opening song before one of six main songs, and stay till the end of the closing song (the same opening tune and the same closing tune occur every hour as the clock face opens and closes, but once open, the six main songs take turns at each hour). It is a beautiful timepiece, of classic Seiko quality - and so much fun! I want to save up for a bigger, more elaborate one with more songs...

After a few weeks of dancing on the fence about this, I pushed the button and ordered this clock for my 6 month old daughter for her bedroom. I had seen this clock prior in a local jewelry store and it caught my eye amongst 15 or so wall clocks. The clock is very eye catching and looks as if it could be worth double its value once you mount this into the wall. It's fairly heavy, so mounting this into a stud seems imperative, I wouldn't trust drywall. Every visitor to the room has seen the clock and was very impressed with it, without even seeing the motion scheme! My daughter is mesmerized by it's movement and it's been very helpful for those late nights getting her to calm down. I'm very satisfied with this piece. My only issue is the control panel door that houses the volume and melody On/Off is on the front right side of the clock and is very visible and out of place. Aside from that, great piece that my daughter can appreciate for years to come!

I received this clock as a birthday present and just love it. The songs are great and enjoyable to listen to. It looks great over the mantle. There is a sensor that prevents the songs from playing when the room is dark so at night your not kept awake by the music.

The watch actually came earlier than expected and the green is very vibrant and beautiful. Holds a very nice presence on my 7in wrist but had to remove 3 links. Feels very premium and an amazing value. Overall this watch is wonderful.
